Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This role will require you to manage and maintain our accounts payable processes, communicate effectively with vendors, and handle accounts for various shared companies including assisted living and group homes. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity, offering scope for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute accounts payable procedures and maintain accurate records

• Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve inquiries and issues

• Handle accounts for multiple shared companies including assisted living facilities and group homes

• Utilize accounting software systems for data entry and managing accounts

• Ensure accurate and timely check processing for vendor invoices

• Leverage tools such as Great Plains, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts and invoices

• Maintain vendor management processes to ensure efficient operations. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Check Processing

• Proficient in Data Entry

• Ability to handle Discrepancy issues

• Experience with Vendor Invoice Entry
