Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer II in Redmond, Washington

Join us in the Xbox Platform and Experiences team as a Software Engineer II, and take part in the mission to deliver the next generation of Xbox to our Players and Creators

You’ll work closely with other engineers in an agile environment, developing modern gaming ecosystems in support of future gaming growth. Expect to leverage industry leading standards including TypeScript, REACT/REDUX, C#, C++ and other cutting-edge technology. Our software experiences are highly service driven, so some level of back-end co-development is a possibility, as well. Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Contribute feature design and development across application, client web and server technology stacks

  • Investigate, diagnose, and fix product issues in development & production

  • Provide quality code review feedback for peers

  • Reliably deliver high quality, testable & reliable code in a production setting

  • Contribute to an inclusive, creative, high-performance problem-solving team culture

Required/Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR equivalent experience.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
