Job Purpose and Impact

The Build Project Manager will plan, lead and coordinate all project management activities for medium to high complexity build projects including project leadership, project planning, project execution, project control, and business results. In this role, you manage a team that plans and directs all daily project management activities. This is a 2 year (minimum) Limited Tenure / Project based position with potential for extension.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish strategies to provide strategic vision to the project team utilizing extensive knowledge of build project management practices and ensures best practices are incorporated into project delivery to champion safety, meet regulatory requirements and deliver build projects with excellence.

  • Organise and coordinate low to medium complexity projects utilizing the project management framework to achieve project objectives.

  • Oversee project progress and key metrics to mitigate risk and increase project performance.

  • Prepare, administer and control operational aspects of assigned projects.

  • Lead the selection of tools and techniques to proactively control project outcomes to deliver a successful project.

  • Partner collaboratively with business stakeholders to ensure the business value and technical benefits are enabled.

  • Establish, implement and assess the status of projects and budgets, handle schedules and prepare status reports.

  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of build project management practices to ensure best practices are incorporated in project delivery to champion safety and regulatory requirements and deliver build projects with excellence.

  • Act as a resource to implement project management best practices based on extensive knowledge.

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of supervisory experience
