The Hertz Corporation Key Account Manager- Northeast in New York, New York

A Day in the Life:

The Key Account Manager – Northeast is responsible for retaining, acquiring, and increasing revenues from Fortune 100/500 accounts within a designated portfolio in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. This role specializes in developing customized domestic and global mobility solutions for our top corporate accounts. This role leads some of the most visible and strategic accounts within the Eastern US Region. The revenue generation will exceed $30.0M in 2023 and the top priority will be driving quality revenue growth through market share gains and new partnership acquisition.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and grow Key Account Manager rental and revenue both domestically and internationally.

  • Pro-actively create strategies and implement mobility solutions to increase rentals and revenue in assigned portfolio of accounts.

  • Negotiate contract renewals with existing designated Hertz accounts improving contribution margins and delivering improved economics and profitable revenue that contributes to the company EBITDA.

  • Develop relationships with Hertz designated accounts (key stakeholders) in the assigned portfolio to protect/improve current Hertz designations and market share.

  • Create relationships with assigned competitive accounts to capitalize on new business opportunities and improve Hertz designation and market share in assigned competitive targets.

  • Develop relationships with 3 rd party stake holders (TMC, Expense/Booking Tools, Fleet Companies, etc.) that play a role in securing Hertz’ position within assigned portfolio of accounts.

  • Identify and develop cross selling opportunities to grow non-traditional segments within designated account portfolio.

  • Support a culture of open mindedness between all levels and departments of the organization.

  • Effectively execute all administrative responsibilities and work cross-functionally with our Sales Support and Operations teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 years’ experience managing a portfolio of larger accounts

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Proven track record of managing & driving revenue growth within a sales territory over an extended period.

  • Excellent business/financial acumen

  • Exceptional communication and networking skills

  • Strong PC Skills (preferable experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tool)

  • Service Industry Experience (preferred)

  • Valid US Driver’s License

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations.

  • Ability to influence.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with a goal-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to see the big picture and leverage critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills
