Role Summary:

In this role you will perform documented inspections in the verification of conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The QC Inspector is responsible for the content of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to customer’s and Flowserve’s specifications and international standards. Besides, the QC Inspector is responsible for defining, advising and controlling all project required QC documents. The QC Inspector reports directly to the QC Supervisor/Manager.

This is a 2nd shift position Monday through Friday 3 pm - 11 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Documenting dimensional and visual inspections according to the drawing or applicable procedures.

  • Documenting non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (Non-Conforming Materials) process.

  • Reviewing and approving supplier’s manufacturing and testing documents/procedures.

  • Managing the approval process of documents by the customer, their customer, and the authorized inspection body when required.

  • Preparing and defining test and inspection requirements for projects, such as Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and procurement specifications.

  • Performing any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience

  • HS Diploma / GED

  • Knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly and test operations

  • Experience with documenting dimensional and visual inspections.

  • Knowledge of the NCR (Non-Conforming Materials) process.

  • Ability to review and verify internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, and NDE personnel in relation to Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures, and other applicable requirements.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systems

  • Knowledge of the established quality standards, laws and regulations of national and international authorities

  • Effective utilization of CMMs is a plus

  • Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude

  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Experience with the preparation and definition of test and inspection requirements for projects.
