Allante Hair Design & Spa Book Keeper/Office Manager in Greensburg, Pennsylvania

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Book Keeper/Office Manager to oversee the administrative and financial operations of our bustling hair salon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management, accounting, and taxation, with expertise in using QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Good for extra money or a retiree. Flexible 8 to 10 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
  • Manage all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and payroll.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgetary allocations, providing regular updates to salon management.
  • Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings and audits, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard salon assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
  1. Administrative Duties:
  • Oversee general office operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records of client appointments, services rendered, and product sales.
  • Coordinate with salon staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient customer service.
  • Handle inquiries from clients, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, providing timely and professional responses.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures to uphold salon standards and compliance requirements.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Supervise a team of administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring workload distribution and adherence to deadlines.
  • Conduct regular meetings to discuss goals, address concerns, and solicit input for process improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in office management, preferably in the beauty or hospitality industry.
  3. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software, with advanced knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
  4. Strong understanding of tax regulations and corporate accounting principles.
  5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  8. Leadership qualities, including team management, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
  9. Familiarity with salon operations and customer service best practices is a plus.
