Amazon Compliance Engineer, Product Compliance, GTPC in Dallas, Texas

Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced, results-oriented, organized, and self-starting Compliance Engineer to support NPI and Sustaining programs within AWS’ Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) function.

As a Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing one or all of the following functional areas of support - Safety, EMC, RF, and Energy Efficiency. Successful candidates are expected to have expertise in one or more of these areas. You will collaborate with AWS NPI teams, Product Compliance TPMs, agency partners, and our legal team to drive global delivery of certifications for critical hardware. You will constantly seek and implement methods to innovate how we operate and scale. You will also regularly communicate with senior leadership on status, risk, and strategy. Successful candidates will have deep subject matter expertise in identifying technical compliance requirements, design techniques for achieving first time test passes, and trouble-shooting issues to find root cause, corrective actions, and preventative actions.

GTPC is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure equipment necessary to support the AWS services are imported/exported in a compliant manner across the multiple countries where AWS operates and will expand, including all product certification/safety regulations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

  • Experience with prototyping and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools

  • Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
