Description

Robert Half is partnering with a wholesale client in the Oil industry in search for an Accounting Clerk. The role involves managing the financial data of our company and ensuring all payments and credit applications are processed accurately and timely.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the process of check runs, ensuring all payments are accurate and timely

• Handle check transactions for various vendors, ensuring proper documentation and approval

• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for tracking and reporting financial data

• Process credit card transactions and reconcile related accounts

• Apply Electronic Payments to the appropriate accounts

• Prepare daily deposits and ensure that all payments are accurately recorded

• Reconcile payment applications to verify the accuracy of account balances

• Use Sage MAS 90 for various accounting tasks

• Ensure all vendor payments have been processed and recorded correctly

• Handle check processing efficiently, maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an Accounting Clerk is not mandatory, but beneficial

• Proficiency in Sage MAS 90 software

• Experience with Check Runs and Process Check Requests

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Collecting Payments, Credit Card Payments, Electronic Payments

• Knowledge of Post Payments, Vendor Payment, and Check Processing

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

• Must have the legal right to work in the location of the job.
